Minor Film, 2024

A documentary animated film about Theater Minor from 1998 to 2024, co-created with Daria Kashcheeva. We recorded 24 interviews with theater staff, the troupe, and critics. In the film, the theater itself speaks through their voices — animated objects, interiors, and even the theater building. Additionally, archival footage and excerpts from performances are used.

We are 'Memorial', 2022

At the beginning of 2022, the shutdown of the human rights organization Memorial by the Russian state seemed like one of the most significant events requiring a public response. We produced and edited an animated video featuring statements from 23 animators in support and defense of Memorial. However, at the end of February, just as we finished the video, the war began. The video premiered on the Novaya Gazeta website on February 28th.

All the Year Round by Lev Rubistein / animation series, 2015

We created over 60 short animated and live video clips for the performance produced by Ten’ theater. Poet and writer. Lev Rubinstein read a short text for each day of the year, associatively linked to a historical event that occurred on that day. The video, shown alongside the reading of the text, added another layer of association and context.

The remaining approximately 300 clips were created by other animators who also participated in the project (Rosa Gimatdinova, Liza Skvortsova, Danila Lenzi, Maria Koneva, Milana Safonova, Konstantin Brilliantov, Natalia Antipova, Vasily Efremov, Alexey Roslevich, Ilya Epelbaum and others).

The video and animation were deliberately created in a lo-fi style.
