The scenographer and director work together with mutual respect and patience, agreeing in advance on the format and priorities of the collaboration.
The scenographer may intervene in the production process if the director desires it.
A scenographer working alongside a director is responsible for the quality of the scenography, not the overall quality of the performance, especially if the director prefers the scenographer not to interfere with the process.
